We are no longer accepting new applications. We’re grateful for the strong interest and the exceptional quality of submissions received. It’s clear that the passion and creativity of young cultural leaders is alive and thriving.

Our review panel has begun the selection process. Winners will be contacted directly once all applications have been reviewed.

Are you a folk dancer, a local musician, or street performer looking to celebrate your culture and art?
Are you an artist, crafter, creator, or maker looking to showcase or sell your wares?
Are you a food vendor ready to feed the masses? 
 
The Oshawa Folk Arts Council is now accepting applications for 2025, happening June 15th, 2025. Join us in celebrating Oshawa and Durham Region’s cultural diversity!

 

We are excited to announce that, in honour of our 50th anniversary, the Oshawa Folk Arts Council (OFAC) has instituted the ‘Oshawa Folk Arts Council 50th Anniversary Youth Culture Award’. 

The award will recognize students for their academic achievementscommunity involvementschool contributionspersonal interests, and, most importantly, service to their multicultural community. The award consists of two $1,000 prizes, one to a high school student and one for a post-secondary student.

This is only open to students who are members of pavilions who are active and in good standing with OFAC. We invite high school students and postsecondary students to apply.

The submission deadline is Monday, March 31st, 2025.

Awards will be presented at the OFAC Queen’s Court Ball, held in May 2025.

The Fiesta Week Pavilions will be open from June 17 – 22, 2024! Each Pavilion has different hours so be sure to check our official listings when you’re planning your trip!
